Silly terminology question - 11/26/2005 19:32:36
I am writing a psp 9 tutorial for a friend and am working in that process....where you select and lift a part of a picture and copy it to another image. what is that called?

Cropping is cutting an image down to a certain area....doesnt involve any copying or pasting. What you want is technically copy & paste. Taking part of an image and applying it to another. For Photoshop users like me can be done via Drag & Drop or Copy & Paste

well then....Select the area of the image you want to duplicate. Select Copy from the Edit Menu, Select the destination image project, and then proceed to paste your selection to the current project.
