2 links on one picture? - 11/29/2005 23:55:42
I have a webpage I created in photoshop and I then exported the Jpeg.

Is there a way i can point seversl links to specified points on the same JPEG. I would prefer not to cut it up with imageready.

thanks for the help.

I don't know if this is the best way to do this, but i would set up a table with the jpeg as the backround, and then divide the table up so clear gif images can be placed as buttons on top of wherever you want the users to click. This way it will appear that clicking on certain parts of the jpeg will take you to different places when the invisible gifs are the real buttons.

Actually, using an "Image Map" or "Hot Spot" is the best option for having more than one link on a picture.

Open the Picture toolbar (View > Toolbars > Picture)

On the picture toolbar, there should be cutout images (on the very left or very right side of the toolbar) that look like a rectangle, circle, square, etc. Click on one of that images, and draw it on the actual graphic. This will create a link for that spot you just drew.

Agree with Bobby...this is by far the easiest way I have found as well. Goes nicely with the K.I.S.S. method we seem to forget sometimes.
