key phrases - 11/30/2005 13:16:08
Im putting together an ad campaign - following up my post of yesterday. Im building a Flash movie that I can send on a CD- sound/voice and a paste of their existing site and some proposed redesigns. One advantage of putting it into a flash is that cant "grab" the code or images. The Flash movie can be quickly adapted from one prospect to the next.

I have music set to time 4 basic questions at the beginning and Im looking for ideas. here is my initilal thought

is your web site out of date?

does your web site lack important features

does your staff have difficulty updating your site/

does your site get the traffic you need to grow new business?

thoughts/suggestions?

Hi Dan,

My only thought is that the first 4 are all in the negative. Is that really a good way to begin a campaign?

quote:

Does it include alll your important features?

quote:

does your staff have difficulty updating your site

Have your staff update your site with ease!

Another angle I've just thought of is to pick sites that you KNOW were created and haven't changed much since 1998. Do a brief profile on 1998 and present that like:

"In 1998 we thought we were oh so clever!. We queued for hours, days to get our hands on Windows '98, yada yada yada, (list other technological feats of that year and show how far we've come in such a short space of time.

THEN the punchline.....

"When was your website last updated?"

How bout that?

How about -

What would you like your website to do?

What features haven't you implemented?

Can your clients find you on the web?

Is it time for a change?

Is it time you got a web site that does all you want it to do?

Is it time you got a web site you can take more control of?

If so, give Dan a call and let him help you achieve all you want to achieve. (:

What a great idea!

Thought about something like that in powerpoint, and saving as presentation so people could not grab things----but Flash is such a better way to go.

Agree with others would try to spin it positive and not negative.

Hey Dan-

Sitting here fuming after getting off phone with a customer and started looking at old posts that I had earmarked as interesting. (Hoping to calm down before making more calls)

I decided to revive this thread to see what others are doing to prospect for new customers and if anybody else is doing something similar.

Thought this was an excellent idea, and wanted to see if you still are doing this?

I'm not as some other things have pulled me away (including physically _ im temporarily in Florida) but I got 1 out of 10 while while bad in baseball is good in cold call solicitation. I have a friend who loves to tell the story of his aunt and uncle who dont own a pc but save every aol et. al. CD they get as they "just seem valuable". The CD I sent with the Flash movie - the Flash movie was target to the individual compnay.

After you inital post, have tried the same thing a few times and had good results also. In fact am asking myself why I don't do it more often.

Anybody else have ideas or input they want to share?
