RE: Musicians Gulf Relief Initiative - 12/8/2005 15:00:52
Oh goodness, I wasn't asking for donations of any kind. Like I said they have done very well without our help. My invite was to the forum only, if any of you can remember. But, unforuntately the admin there has been dealing with personal affairs of some sort and yes, the site could use updating. And now the forum is even missing.. But the initiative is still going strong, you can't stop a moving train.. . I am not associated to the site. I was only inviting others to the forum, that was briefly there is all. I was blessed enough to watch the site come together, and knowing what I know about the musicians that are behind the initaitive is where my excitement stemmed. I was only at the time, trying to make others aware because I became aware of the names in music that are involved. So, you see my friends your suspicions are wrong. And now my reason for posting the site is only to finaly let all of you know, why I came here in the first place. I wasn't sure the link would survive another location, so critique away if you must, but the site owner is a professional with the highest credibilities, and is hired by other professionals in website design. So, please be kind because like I said I am not associated to the site in anyway, and I am not sure that this judgement would be fair in his nonattendance.. God Bless You 1&All! ~RCandy~

Hold on there tiger. If there has been an error of judgement, it was yours. Posting a site in the site checks forum means you are asking what forum members make of the site as a technical piece of work. So, in effect it was you asking what others made of the web designers' work in their absence. If you wanted to promote the cause, which is admirable, then you have done it no favours whatsoever as far as the site checks forum is concerned. I am sure, if you had thought about it just for a minute you could have found another forum on this site that had more relevance to the stated reasons behind your post. Indeed several members of OF have worked extremely hard to help a developer to get another appeal for the hurricane victims off the ground. Take my advice or leave it, it is up to you but I run a non-for-profit in the UK and if I found out a "supporter" of the cause had done this sort of thing , I would be apoplectic.

Please see my comment on your other posting in the lounge. Oh, and by the way. Thank you for your selfish politeness.
