womble -> UK alternative to Cafepress? (12/17/2005 11:40:30)

Does anyone know of a UK alternative to Cafepress? I seem to remember I read an article in one of the web mags a few months back of places that did similar things and found an excellent one, which now looking again I seem to have neglected to have bookmarked [:-]

I've found a couple of possible alternatives that do t-shirts, mugs, mouse mats etc. and let you have an online store with them - they do the hosting, delivery, collect the money etc., then pay you your profits. I'm specifically looking for one though that does custom printed pens and keyrings. Any ideas?

These people were the cheapest I could find for both quality and cheap pens when I researched this about two years ago. Their customer service is excellent, I ordered 1000 pens, when they arrived they had missed a colour out of the logo, 1 quick phone call and two days later I received another 1000 pens printed correctly and they told me to keep the first 1000 free of charge.

Yes, and no - I am, but with the site I found a few months back and then foolishly forgot to bookmark you could either sell stuff through the online shop you set up with them, or order in bulk yourself at a discounted rate. The search continues....*sigh*

I live in the US and have a Cafepress shop that I'm very happy with, but if you're still looking for a UK alternative to Cafepress, Spreadshirt.com has a UK based site:

Hope this helps.

Hi Mizligia - I knew there was something I was going to do! Like update this thread! [:D]

Entirely different project (original one got scrapped), but I have been using Spreadshirt on a couple of projects since then with no problems. I've also used Zazzle - http://www.zazzle.com/ - which although US based, even allowing for the postage from the US to the UK, for small items such as bumper stickers, pin badges, and keyrings I think are marginally cheaper than such as Spreadshirt and such like, which are more oriented to the clothing side of things. I've done a number of custom t-shirts with Spreadshirt though which have been very successful and two of them in particular are my favourites which I wear a lot, so they're certainly durable.
