Complete Overhaul - 12/21/2005 13:41:41
We are thinking of completely redesigning our main website (it does need it). Besides just changing the look the navagation can use a makeover too.
So I'm wondering if this affects rankings at all. Do I need to notify google and yahoo whenever the overhaul is complete? Many pages (if not all) will have different names that will change the full URL. I don't want people trying to get to nonexistent pages.

You will want to setup a redirect on the old pages that have changed. This will tell the SEs about the change, and the users will be automatically redirected to the new page.
