I last woke up at 10am on Tuesday morning. I really need sleep but my mission into CSS and validation is now complete (for the time being). The CSS is in fact an dreadful mess but thanks for your comments... I will get round to changing the black border (around the photographs)

I'm getting a consistent error saying that the domain can't be found. I tried numerous times in FF and IE.

Strange one that eh! I am not sure what to think... It is working perfectly fo me (and my girlfriend at work)

You cant get on the site at al even by entering the url manually? ( I know it's a stupid question but have to check... Over 48 hours awake and my eyes feel like they are bleeding).

No luck I'm afraid. I've even tried pinging the server - result attached:

I'm guessing some sort of DNS problem.

Heaps of red FAILs. This one looks like the most important. I suggest you contact your hosting company.

This is the first I have heard of it since the site went up at the star of November.

Hmmm... There is far too much red on there isn't there... That wouln't be anything to do with the tidying up that I have been doing for w3c would it?

Did you visit the DNS report yourself? It isn't dependent on my system or connections, it is conducted from their server.

Unless you have somehow been fiddling with server settings - no. Editing web pages cannot affect DNS issues.

I really think you need to contact your host.

Yeah it is fine..... I just tried to view the DNS report again and it now passes every criteria wit only one wanring.

I guess my host got the email or coincientally the prob just ironed itself out?

So.. Now that's out of the way.. We can get back to my CSS and validation lol. I am sure as time goes by I will see just exactly he useful CSS is but atthe mometn just try to refrain from laughing too o hard

DNS problems suck. I had a site that spent the first month of its existance viewable only to my hosts (who seemed most unconcerned no-one else could see it [:@]) Seems like your hosts are more on the ball than mine were though (they are no more though - shortly after that little incidence my site ran away and set up home on another server)

/nips over to W3schools.com to get herself one of those time machines [:D]

I am not entirely confident with my host for other reasons so if any more problems do crop up then I may well jump ship.

Could I ask a quick question... Is there anyway that I can get the thumbnails in my galleries to follow the hyperlink instructions like my menu options do (H3)?

Seem to be struggling a little with image formatting but will get it in the end.

If you mean that you want the link colour and hover properties to be the same as your menu - then add the following code to your stylesheet: 

#images a:link {color: #D2691E;}
#images a:visited {color: #D2691E;}
#images a:hover {color: #FF4500;}
