just looking for some general advice. i'm still new to creating web pages, and it's for the company i work for, so i'd like to represent them well. one thing i'd like to do is reduce the pixels for smaller screen resolutions (currently optimized for 1024 x 768), but be able to center it with borders on the sides for larger ones. i don't know how to do that though. i'm using frontpage if anyone knows how, i'd really appreciate the advice.

I think it is a very nice effort for a first site, i'm very impressed. Couple of things that I noticed are the font sizes seem to vary on a few pages.

Practice Management seems smaller than other pages.

Links page has could be more consistent as well....the bullet points on lower half grabs your eye when it is different the the double spaced lines on the upper half of links.

These are pretty small detail things, overall I think it is eye-pleasing and has well thought out/logical navigation.

I like the way you dropped in photos on the our people page. Keeps privacy of employees, but shows friendly faces that an employee could show a customer which photo is them if they wanted.

On all pages, I had to scroll side to side. Monitor at 1027 By..

Problem exists on IE6, Firefox 1.5, NN7 and Opera 7.

I really like your color selections.

looks good but your images are too big! all your menu images should be gifs and the header image could possibly be a gif as well. the photo is too big at 48k aim for around 20-30k remember to use jpegs for photogrphic images and those with gradients that won't work as gifs and use gifs (or 8-bit pngs) for everything else. go back to the original images and save them as gifs (everything but the photo and possibly the header)

thanks for the advice guys. all good stuff, and those were the types of constructive critiques i was looking for.

this is a very helpful website. i'm glad i stumbled accross it.

Hi and welcome to Outfront.

In order to get your pages to fit various screens you will need to adjust your tables from a specific width to %.

You will also need to adjust both the top and bottom images to allow for this as they will force the table wider in order to fit the image.

Very nice site you have made. I like it.

alright guys, i've taken your advice, and i think i've implemented everything i wanted to do. i resampled many of the pics into gifs, redone some of the title bars, resized the site for smaller screens, and added borders and centered it for larger ones, fixed the font size issues, and did some general re-arranging. thanks again for all your help. i feel like my site is better now than before. there is one thing that i could use some help on if anyone knows how. on the contact us page, i have a google map embedded, but i can't seem to get a marker to show up, pointing out our exact location. any help would be appreciated.

The marker shows for me when I use the "Click for a map..." link. Using Firefox btw.

yeah, it shows if you click the link, but i'd like it to show on the map that's right in the page. i've tried to follow the directions on google's site, but it's a lot of code, and i'm having trouble getting it to work.

i actually figured out the google map thing. the pointer works now, it took some copying and pasting, and a lot of trial and error, but it works.
