yelruc2 -> Link Bar Text That Refuses To Change?? (1/6/2006 2:21:19)

Hi,

I posted previously on Dec. 18 (Link Bar Problem - I Need Help!) about a problem adding pages to the link bar structure. In spite of several good suggestions, I still have not solved the problem, and have given up adding more pages to the link bars for now.

However, I have a new problem. When I named several of the original link bars, I included the year (2005) in the name. Well, now it's 2006 and I need to change the name to 2006, right? But it won't let me do it. I have renamed the pages in the Navigation View, and they are correct within FP but when I publish them to the web, they still read 2005. I can't figure out where that's coming from! When you drag the mouse pointer over the link bar, it displays the correct title in a text box. How do I change the link bar? Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

Try Recalculating Hyperlinks locally, and if that doesn't work, try it live on the server:

Menu Bar >> Tools >> Recalculate Hyperlinks

It is just a stab in the dark on my part, but worth trying anyway.

OK, so this probably another stupid question, but how do you "go live on the server"? Previous posts said go to File and "Open Web". I have Frontpage 2003 and there is no "Open Web." There is "Open Site" however. If I go there, I end up in a wizard that wants to copy my server files to my hard drive. Is there another way?

Thanks,

Bruce
