Thanks for the response. Nothing in that window appears to have a yellow mark. I've already tried resetting my router and reinstalling the device. The adaptor said it wasn't able to contact the DHCP server to renew my ip address so I also tried manually entering the ip addresses and DNS server values (192.168.1.10 for the ip address, 192.168.1.1 for the default gateway, and 192.168.1.1 for the preferred DNS server). I also tried using ping 127.0.0.1 in the command window, which came up with a response that it couldn't contact the DHCP server before I manually entered the ip addresses and came up with a positive response after I entered in the ip addresses. Either way, I still can't get on the internet. I just noticed that both my software menu and the wireless configuration status menu say that I'm connected, but both of them show the computer receiving 0 bytes of data. The amount of data being sent out is increasing, however. I don't know a ton about internet connections so I don't know if this information will help.
