.htaccess changes - 1/11/2006 13:04:49
I wish to have all files interpreted by a php server. To do so, my service provider has told me to add the following line to create a .htaccess file in my root director and add the following line:
AddType application/x-httpd-
php .php3 .phtml .php .php4 .html .htm

I am clueless on this. I read various posts warning about changing .htaccess if using FP extentions, but some say it can be done. Can I given what I want to accomplish? If so, do I just create this file and edit in notepad, and upload? I tried that, but FP doesn't appear to see this file. Can I use FP to view my current .htaccess (assuming there is one) on the remote server? Please help!
