moving files from hard drive to Comcast - 1/19/2006 16:51:01
Hello everyone. I am brand new here. I'm still having trouble understanding how web design really works (beyond concepts). I have a midi file attached to my homepage now. I used FrontPage 2000 to get it. It's filepath is still on my C: hard drive though. Don't I want the file to move to one of my web directories in Comcast so that everyone else can play it? I can't figure out how to move it to a Comcast directory. Thank you for help. I know I am an uniformed user.

Yes you need this file in your FP website. Go to My Computer & drill down to where this file is. Now CNTL-C. Go to your FP website and right click on the folder you wish to put it in and choose Paste. This will import it. Now just correct your path to the file and publish

AHA! Corey; hello and thank you. I was missing that the root directory is the web page address. Comcast refused to explain that. Now it works!
