Anyone else experience a problem with web folders after upgrading to FP2002?

I'm running Windows 98 SE with IE6 and recently upgraded from FP2000 to 2002. Now, I can no longer attach live to my remote servers for editing. Everything must be done locally and then published.

Any attempts to attach live, or access any site through just web folders will lock my system. Microsoft is working with me on the problem, but has offered nothing worthwhile to date.

I edit webs and subwebs live all the time. Upgrading never caused me a problem.

I have a friend who was never able to edit live in FP 2000. I don't think it's an upgrade issue. My guess in his case was that it was a RAM issue. I guess that could be an upgrade issue if the upgrade requires more RAM?
