Help displaying picture - 1/28/2006 15:25:37
I am supposed to have a picture on the web page linked below. Instead all I have is a red X. I know I have published it. I can see it in Front page, what am I doing wrong? Thanks, David http://www.jasoncoolsite.com/Contributor%20Page.htm

Either the path to the picture is incorrect or you haven't uploaded the picture as it's definitely not there!

How do I check if it has been uploaded to the website. Kind of like editing online? Is it FTP... something? David

I went into frontpage and I clicked "open web". Then I typed http://jasoncoolsite.com Is that how I get into the site that is actually online? The picture name was different so I fixed that but I still can't see it online. Only in Front page. Please help. Thanks David

Try clearing your browser cache

I got a page not found error. Have you removed it? You can publish your photos and web pages very easily by right clicking the file or highlighting several (in the Web Site tab). Then choose Publish Selected Files from the menu. Then just enter your usual FTP login details.

Sorry, I was playing with the site and I removed the pic. Then I had to go out. I will try to get it back on. David

Page - yes. RedX - yes. Picture - no. This is the result of trying to view just the image in Firefox quote:
The image “http://www.jasoncoolsite.com/thermometer_0.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Ah so the image might be corrupted. You may need to go back to wherever you got the image from and re-save it then re-upload it and hope that the newer version isn't corrupted.

I downloaded this as a TIFF. Used photoshop to edit it and saved it as a JPG. I am pretty sure it is a jpg and I can't see it. What I need is something that can show the progress of my son's fundraising effors. I was going to color in red as he collected more money and keep moving up the thermometer. Does anyone have any other ideas for this along with the picture? David
