Try this in this order: Go into the mail client you are using and set it so that the account needs to authenticate outgoing mail using the same credentials you use for incoming. How to do this depends on your mail client. One way or another, this will need to be done for all email clients using the Exchange server. If that doesn't work, you may have completely disabled relaying, which you don't want to do. You want to relay, but only authenticated clients. I'm not sure what version of Exchange you're using, but I've set this up for an older version (5.5 I think) so I might be able to help you.
