How can I promote my website ? - 2/2/2006 13:47:47
What are other ways to promote your website and get
traffic, if you are unable to get a listing on google, or
the other primary search engines. Or if you are unfortunately
listed on the bottom of most search engines. Are there other
ways to promote your website that can have fruitful results?

Sure are!!!
1) PPC. Set a monthly budget, craft your ads, bid on keywords that won't break your bank but are still cometitive for your site.
2) Directories. There are tons of genre specific directories. Use them to your advantage.
3) Affiliate programs. Get to know how these work and start your own. Pay attention to cookie durations, pay out percentages, and scumware/spyware/unethical participants.
4) Forums. Start a forum on your genre. Reveiw others in your niche and see what forum topics are missing. Then create sub forums on that topic.
5) Ads (Not PPC). Find sites with high targetted traffic and approach to run an add on thier site.
6) Post in other forums. Answer questions and point back to content
These are a few things I thought of, I am sure there are other avenues.
