Wierd Problems With Abobe Acrobat - 10/25/2001 20:18:00
Hello All,

I am having some strange problems i was hoping someone could offer some suggestions for. I have a website that I work on all the time that we keep local, work on and then publish. The website contains many PDF files we change a lot. However, we just discovered that when we publish our site Frontpage is not recognizing that the PDF files have changed and the old pdf files stay on the live website. No other file type is affected but Adobe PDF's. Strangest dang thing I ever saw. Anybody have any suggestions??

Thanks,
Joel Logan

Yes, I have that problem also on this web site http://www.geocities.com/coastfork

I posted this weird PDF behavior a while back but no-one noticed at the time.

I found two solutions by trial and error.

1. Remove the old PDF file and publish a SECOND time with the revised file.

OR

2.Change the file name of the revised PDF and delete the old file. This method requires on ly one publish cycle, but requires more link adjusting work.
