tea man -> When submitting feed back page I get --- You are not authorized to view this page (2/14/2006 8:01:47)

Hi
We have a W2K Server with FP Server extensions 2002 (this server is internal and runs our Intranet for the other Windows based PC's)

Every time someone submits a feedback form, I get the error... ‘’You are not authorized to view this page’’ (after a login splash screen is thrown up)

If I make everyone in the domain a member of the local Administrator's group on the Web server itself, then the feedback form works OK

So something on the Web server wants the person submitting the feedback form to be an Administrator on the server (presumably to run a file of some sort)

I can’t see where and have given everyone full rights to the file system on the server, but have not made them Administrators

Any ideas please????

Hi tea man,

Welcome to OutFront,

How about a URL for the form page?

How about the IUSR_machinename account? IIRC they need read & write access.

Or allow Anonymous Access to that portion of the web.

Thanks for the info

The server is on our LAN and has no public DNS name, so I can't provide a URL

I have granted full rights to the file system for the IUSR_machinename account, but it still doesn't work

I was looking at the 'check server extensions' option in IIS Manager and I got the following error...

the server administration programs and the server extensions on the web server are not compatible. The administration program is too old to use with this server
I have installed Ver 2002 of the FP extensions

I guess that has always been like that, because the FP extensions work if an Administrator of the Domain submits a feedback page

Thanks in advance
