Just curious.

Do any of you archive back issues of newsletters so they are available to read online at your site?

thanks,

We have a lot of clients that do this. Since they are all in a database, I suggested to them they make them available on their sites. Good content and it keeps people coming back to their site for more information

Gail,

One of my clients produces a bi-monthly magazine they snail-mail to around 2000 recipients. It was becoming too costly so they've only recently cut back to quarterly and now email PDF versions to those with internet access.

Ever since I took over the site though I encouraged them to publish their old editions online as a kind of archive for them, their clients and also as a kind of chronology of how things have changed over the years (the magazine has been published since about 1993), and I've only heard positive reports about it. I'm now trying to get them to archive news items in a similar way, kind of like a chronology again and with the pages in html and not PDF, they've enough web space to archive these sorts of things for the next 50 years.

Nicole

Thanks so much for the helpful replies. I forgot to check that I wanted to be notified when someone replies and, er, I forgot about my post. :)

I just recently learned that my newsletter software does this automatically and, in fact, has been doing so since I started the newsletter. Now I just have to figure out how to get those archive links to show the newsletter when clicked!

Thanks again.
