If you want an in depth review you should be willing to pay several hundreds of dollars for the appraisal. Otherwise, you can visit www.dnforum.com, www.namepros.com or www.domainstate.com - they each have appraisal forums where industry professionals will give you their opinions of a domain value. quote:
market or branding value Marketing or branding value is usually *way* overrated by the domain owners - unless you have an obvious winner I wouldn't expect much from that angle. The biggest reason for the decline in branding value is the amount of money it takes to brand a domain. Type in traffic is often a huge indicator of the value of a domain. Again, I would visit one of the sites above and get some professional opinions on the value of the domain before spending hundreds on an appraisal.

i don't doubt that market value is over-sold and thus misleading the value, however, basing price simply on type in traffic is equally misleading as it only considers one attribute of a domain. anyone who has been online for some time can tell you that domains are more than just type-in traffic. anyhow, thanks for the links. if anyone has additional suggestions, i woud like to see them.

Although, it's hard to argue that type in traffic isn't the most important attribute as it usually comes with built in income and by it's very nature is easy to remember and type. quote:
anyone who has been online for some time can tell you that domains are more than just type-in traffic I openly admit to being an experienced amateur domain trader with less than 400 domains currently in stock. Many of the folks at those sites have several thousands of domains and have been earning a living at it for years. Their advise is golden - if you want to hear it - which I suppose you do since you're the one asking questions.

www.dnforum.com - I would suggest it as well. I became a platinum member there just because their services / information they provide is fantastic.
