Accessible, standards based slideshow - 2/26/2006 4:11:38
Hi I came across this Beta yesterday and thought I'd pass it on to you. It's another Slideshow creator. So what's different about it - well it's standards compliant, accessible and doesn't rely on client-side scripting to work. If the user has Javascript switched on then the slideshow will use that. If Javascript is switched off then it reverts to server-side scripting and PHP. It's been manually checked against the WCAG and Conforms to all Priority 2 and most of Priority 3 checkpoints. It's valid XHTML 1.0 strict. As part of building the slideshow it creates a favicon for each slideshow and an RSS feed. Cool eh? It's still in Beta currently but might be useful for anyone who needs it right this minute - you can put your name down to be informed of the actual release. http://scooch.gr0w.com/

I thought it was spam also. Just spent the last 15 minutes trying to find the OF post about the beta from a while back. Wasn't until I used the word "beta" in the OF Forum search field that I found it. Seems I put a space in the words "slide show" and could not find the original post. "slideshow" worked like a charm! picky...picky.... picky
