spinningjennie -> Scan hand written signature then create gif (2/27/2006 6:14:59)
|
I have the handwritten felt pen signature of a person that I want to save as a gif with a transparent background. Are there any tips for ensuring that the signature that I cut out of the background has smooth edges? I haven't tried anything with an actual signature yet, but have tried using the magic wand to select then remove the white background of some Microsoft clip art (as practice before I receive the scanned signature tomorrow). These practice sessions resulted in fairly jagged line art. I chose anti-aliased before making my selection. PS This will be used first on a printed letter so needs to be clear. If the white background scans to be all white, there won't be a problem, but there might be greyish parts to the background. Thanks in advance. spinningjennie
