Basic Server Extensions 2002 Setup - 3/12/2006 22:33:12
Hello people, I just finished installing my new Server 2003 R2. It's only role in life will be as a web server. I've used the Frontpage Server extensions before on my old NT4 box but I'm having some difficulty with the new configuration. Here's what I've done: 1. Right-click Default Web Site. 2. Selected All Tasks --> Configure Server Extensions 2002 3. It prompts for a username/password so I type in the local administrator credentials (this server is not a domain controller or domain member). 4. Everything seems to work perfect, it asks me what username will be administrator of this virtual server. It defaults to my MACHINENAME\administrator. 5. It looks successful and takes me to the Server Administrator web site. This all looks perfect. However, when I right-click on my Default Web Site again and select All Tasks --> Check Server Extensions 2002 I am prompted for a username and password again. Nothing I enter here seems to work. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? Help is very much appreciated. Thanks again!
