i have a web that will have at least 4 pages to it but fp wont let me add more than 1 more. when i go to the new web and add it as a subweb it askes me if i want to replace it , and of course i say no , but how can i add more than 2 pages?

If you are trying to add a new page to a web - you need to be choose File - New Page no file - new web.

i do that , then choose new web, and click add sub web but it wont let me add more than 2. is that the way fp is? my web will be about 4 or 5 pages when done, but how do i create more subwebs

do you want additional pages on your site or subwebs? how do you define subweb?

there may be my confusion. i have a main page, then links to other pages that i need to make. would that just be concidered more "pages" then i can link to them? i figured a subweb was another page.

a subweb is another beast altogether...those are just "more pages". just follow coreys advice above - good luck
