password protected pages and SE bots - 3/14/2006 18:05:36
Im trying to think my way through this (which is probably a mistake right there) if a page has ASP code on it that essentially asks if the visitor has a session cookie from loging in and redirects the viewer who lacks that cookie, wont that prevent a search bot from viewing the page and listing it?

If you're looking for a way to get your hidden data onto search pages then you could do what a lot of the tech magazines do, and provide a summary which has all the key words and then a link with "login to read more" sort of thing?
