Another dumb question from a newbie learning CSS...
ok i'm using
div.box
{
color:orange;
width:400;
height:300px;
overflow: scroll;
background-image:url('x.JPG');
background-position: center;
background-attachment:fixed;
background-repeat:no-repeat
}
to scroll a box.... I don't need the horzontal scroll how do i get rid of it?

In the absence of the Doc Type Diva try giving measurement units to this

Sorry, been busy rebuilding my site (half-way through).
Caz is right about adding the px but also try overflow:auto and remove the width if you want to get rid of the Horizontal scrollbar too then sit the div inside another div with a width assigned to that otherwise when your content goes over the 400px you'll get the horizontal scroll.
