Does just "peeking" at the web server via FTP cause problems? By this I mean to just connect via FTP to view the informaiton via the FTP method to see time/date/size and other folders on the server that you can't get to via the Publish command (Folders such as www.root, log, home, and annonyous). _____________________________ Success often occurs in private, but failure usually in full view.

I have uploaded / downloaded before without hurting the extensions. Usually downloading will not corrupt the extensions either at all. It is usually the upload. If you're not actually changing/moving any of the files I can't see how that would upset it (though I'd think it may be best to use an ftp app other than FP's built-in one).
