Can not load Include files - 3/30/2006 16:40:22
Hi everyone, For a while now I experience a loading error with "include" files after having edited a bunch of files in FP 2003. Then all of a sudden when opening a file in FP I am informed that the include files could not be openend and all I see are the place markers for the include files. I then close all files/pages and close FP. Then I reopen FP and the problem has corrected it self. Then after editing for an hour or so the whole thing repeats it self. Has anyone any idea what causes this? Many thanks, Con

You are working locally? Maybe try recalculating hyperlinks on a regular basis as you work.

Thanks for the responses. I am working locally and regularly recalculate the hyperlinks if I do a lot of editing. However, the problem still exists. Even if I close the local site BUT not FP and then reload the local site the problem is still present. I have to exit FP and reload it for the problem to not occur for awhile. This thing is really driving me nuts. Con

You could try this handy add-in to clear FP temp files - I have used it with no ill effects, FP clean

Hi caz, Yes I do have FPClean but didn't realize I had it. Too many utilities on the HD. I ran FPClean and see what happens from here on in. Thanks again for the suggestion. Will let you know if successful. Con

Hi Caz, FYI - Having applied FPClean awhile back I now begin to experience the same problem again. I don't know what to do next so I have no choice but continue to live with it. Anyone have any other ideas? Would appreciate, Con
