Renaming / Modification of css style sheets - losing fu... - 4/4/2006 0:08:46
Hello

I am a new user of this forum. I have a small problem

If I modify/edit/even save in a different name, my css style sheet loses a few functionality
eg: Kindly see www.ad1.in/hosting

and http://www.ad1.in/hosting2
( In this, kindly note the loss of the 3 D effect on the right and left borders of the page)

Even a modification of the css name will result in this

Can anybody help me out on why this happens and how to overcome this?

Hi Freebboksvalley,
Welcome to outfront.

First I wish to suggest to you that you validate your html/xhtml and css.

here is the validation for the first link. You have 17 errors that you need to fix, after you fix them, you then need to validate your css.

Once you do this, I suggest that you use firefox for doing your main design work and then once finished tweak it for IE.

Both pages look totally different in both browsers.

Hope this helps you out a bit.

Once you do this, and you are still having problems or don't understand the validation process please repost.

When your code is incorrect it will interfer in how the page will look.
