Have a new client that currently have GoDaddy as registrar and host. For obvious reason's will be switching both and wondered how if at all this would effect their page rank.

Would love to hear thoughts from people that are more familiar with SEO.

changing hosts shouldnt impact SE rankings

The only way you might see a problem is if the website is down for a long period of time, and a search engine decides it is long enough to remove the content.

If the website contains all static pages, you can upload it to the new host (then change the DNS), and then the site will either resolve to GoDaddy (and display the website) or to the new host (and also display the website). The only thing you might lose are e-mails, but only if you use some form of webmail.

Just hope the new host knows what he/she is doing, moves can be a real pain.
