Hi Ross and welcome to Outfront.

Quickly, I'm not a fan of splash pages, I don't see them serving a purpose other than slowing me getting to your content. The thumbs have me playing Russian roulette since they're blurry and I can't tell what I'm calling up and as a photographer (big amateur here) I think the larger images could be better presented (they seem to be somewhat degraded from the compression). Oh, I also don't care for the nav being at the bottom of the page. That's just me I think but hey, you asked.:)

New photogalleries, stop by sometime.

the splash page is a bit confusing, not sure what to click on to make stuff 'appen

the first time I saw the blurred out thumbs I thought it was interesting, every time after that it became annoying. Maybe just a bit too blurred.

main problem I had was the huge margin at the top of the page. I'm guessing that you are viewing it at a large resolution with no toolbars installed or you are hoping that everyone has their browser set to full page.
I am viewing at 1024 x 768

I like your work and I think the style you are aiming for is complimentary

I would like to post this link Sizing Up the Browsers. I find it a great place to start when building a website, after I have decided what resolution I would like to design for.

forget the splash page

blurred thumbnails are too blurred - try just black and white instead or just a soft focus look

you've resize the photos in the html without resampling them so they have jaggies in places and are slightly out of proportion. (e.g. 0.jpg - woman in the black dress lying face up - jaggies on her jawline!!!

otherwise looks good ;)

p.s. if you do use a small amount of blur on the the thumbnails then how about on mouseover/hover if you bring the thumbnail back into focus?!

I really like the design but take on board what the others have said. The only thing I would add is that I'd put the thumnails closer together so that the page doesn't become so long that you end up having to scroll down to see the full size pic.

Thanks to you all, this is a great way to see how different people view the site and how to get a good average.
I was originally trying to make it thumbnail a rollover but for some reason evertime you rolled over one others kept changing, so when I learn how I will make it so that once you click on one it stays highlighted.

And I am addressing the image quality.

Thanks to all
