opinions for home page - 4/14/2006 10:22:40
I would like to get your opinions on different ideas i have for my home page. it is for a car sterio store going online. there are 10 categories. right now i have it set up with the navigation on the left (links dont go anywhere yet) then in the rest of the page i have, pictures of the item in the category and the title , and you can also get there by clicking in that area (links not set up) i have to change sizes of the tables to fit all of the pics on one page.

or i was thinking of having the left navigation set up where you hover on the nav item a large pic shows up and you just click on that left navigation.

is simple better? ive seen other post where everyone agrees that simple is better.

just wanted to get some ideas.

thanks

simple is always better in my opinion. I really like the site. I think it perfectly fits the group that is going to shop it (I work in marketing, sorry) I can only comment on looks I'll let the web gurus of OF comment on the rest:)

^ agrees.

You want to make life as easy as possible for the user and reduce the risk of things not working properly if scripting is switched off etc etc.

I wouldn't change a thing.

It's simple.

It's inviting.

Makes me want to BUY.
