Hi Freakystijn, and welcome to OF! :)

You can use any graphics program to create headers or banners, Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, the Gimp etc. There are various sources of cheap or free images. Istockphoto's one of the best for cheap images. For free ones stock.xchng is just about the best. There are various commercial banner creation software packages out there, which can speed things up (just try googling), and various online banner/header creators that mostly allow you to create text headers/banners (again just trying googling), but any graphics app will do. I while back I spent ages looking for something that would create headers for me but came to the conclusion that even with the commercial ones you're somewhat limited with what you can do with them tho. You're best using one of the graphics programs if you want more control over how the finished thing looks.

There may be one of the graphics experts round here who would be willing to help out. Try posting more details about what it is you're wanting.

Gimp is an open source graphics package you can download and use for free.

As Womble says there are many other graphics packages out there and also banner creators. You might like to take a look at Cool Text which will do some great ones very easily although they don't have a Knight background.
