vti-cnf folder problems - 4/18/2006 15:11:05
Hi All Thanks for all your previous help, and I hope someone can put some light on another problem that i have encountered.... All has been well until recently. When I tried my last up date of some .php files, I now get "Server Error: Cannot create folder '_vti_cnf'. I am hopeing that someone may be able to give me an idea as to what the problem may be??? Looking on the server, there is existing vti-cnf files, but had major problems by mistakenly deleting them previously!!! I am still relatively new to FP, and don't want to start getting rid of files that should be there...

Have your host check the server extensions.

I know the original post was 6 months old, but I found it because I was having the same problem. After trying numerous setting changes, etc., my host figured out what I need to do: Delete the "Stats" folder before publishing. vti-cnf goes inside this folder, but I didnt have permission to make changes. (If that makes sense). Hope this helps someone else.
