OK, here goes.......

I got hit by a bright pink background before the page appeared which was a bit of a shock. On the plus side it woke me up.

The page is not at all bad, some of the text looks a bit fuzzy but otherwise clear enough page. What gives with the big blank gap before all that text at the bottom? That should be in the main body of the page as info for your visitors.

Mmmmmm not good. You can make the page fluid so it looks OK at any screen size.

In overall, the website is just OK. It's clear, there's nothing that confuses the message and it's easy to navigate.

But.

It's probably not a good idea to put separate text-only versions at the bottom of the page. At least when they're useless: the text-only contents are different from the graphic versions. Take them off and search the web for some simple tips on accessibility, i.e. making the graphic version of the website more accessible for text browsers.

What the pages are lacking visually is more sense of balance. The black background and the otherwise light contents create a strong contrast, so add more contrast also to the page contents itself. Like, make the pinks truly red so they have a stronger contrast against the whites. The navigation items would look great with a slightly dark red background, like #CC0000 and white text.

About the grey background, it's in the wrong place. Make the white areas grey and the current grey areas white instead, and see how it makes the pages more pleasant to read.

Finally, add just a bit more whitespace around the white page area. The elements are now too close to the edge.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys, thanks a million for the feedback, I'll look into integrating your advice as soon as possible!

BTW, the pink background is part of a screwed up process of different background colors (page properties, background pic, and table color, table pic)... Where I was afraid the text would end up being the same color as the bckgnd and be viewed as spam by google.

Also, the text at the bottom was kindof a holdover from rough drafts, and kindof let it in to help google, etc., find the page (ie, text). Perhaps I should remove the text, at least from the index page...?

thanks again!
