I've read that search engines are not likely to index pages that are more than 3 clicks from the home page. Is this a guideline or a hard and fast rule.

Most of my site's pages are 4 clicks away. Is this a real problem?

4 clicks!!! How horrid! [:D]

Just kidding. I don't think search engines are limited by this at all. Maybe sometime in the past but not today. How many true content pages at MS can you get to within 3 clicks? Not a large percentage I'm guessing.

I think the issue is your users. Getting them to the content they really want to see should be the focus. If it makes sense to do it in 4 clicks and makes sense to the browser, then it should be 4 clicks.

At leat IMO.

Thanks!

And why do they put braille at drive-thru's. Won't the person driving be kind enough to read the menu aloud.
