Jordan -> DMOZ - What's an appropriate category for a Web designer? (4/25/2006 9:32:23)

I've poked around DMOZ in preparation for submitting the URL for my Web design business. I have not stumbled across the appropriate category given what I think is a logical path. Does anyone have a recommendation for the correct category? I'm sure I'm overlooking it.

Jordan, don't rely on DMOZ. It can take a year or more to get on there due to the lack of editors to look after the cats.

You can go to the individual engines such as google and submit direct, you've got more chance.

This is the cat you want

There are over 22,000 in there.

Or you can go in through the Regional top level cat and work your way down.

So, for example, I'd end up in:

Top: Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: England: Business and Economy: Computers and Internet: Web Design and Development

Except I'm not. Some editor on there has stuck me in:

Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Accessibility: Companies and Consultants

Which brings me to:....... if they don't like the cat you've submitted yourself to, they'll change it.

If you're really lucky they might even tell you.

I submitted it to other engines long ago, I just thought I ought to cover all the bases and submit through DMOZ, too. See, now I was searching under businesses -- which to me seems like the most logical place to look if I was looking for a Web design company. Thanks for your feedback.
