Banner Ad - Grey Box - 3/31/2001 15:18:00
I am using Frontpage 2000 and I am trying to place a banner ad into my web site. When I go to preview it, I get a grey box. The picture that I am placing into the banner is the same size as required in the properties. I have made sure that the web contains these files: fprotate.class and fprotatx.class. I have made sure that every file and folder name, in my web, doesn't have a space or % sign in the name. What am I doing wrong? I am ready to pull my hair out! Please help as your help will be greatly appreciated.

The preview tab is unreliable. Are you using Preview in Browser?

Yes, I am using "preview in browser," and the "preview tab" at the bottom of the page, after I have saved the web site changes, and I get the grey box in both cases. I have read different books and they all make it look so easy. I have deleted the banner ad manager a 100 times and reinserted the banner ad manager. I had it work once but the image that I had inserted was a .gif so the grey box was the background. I then deleted the banner ad manager again and reinserted a .jpeg file. When I went to view it, I received the grey box again. That was the only time that the banner add manager remotely worked. I felt so close yet so far away.
