I'm trying to upload a .csv file to an external site, but I am receiving errors. When working with them, they sent me a listing of what each column should be...number, test, or date. I was under the impression that .csv files have no formating at all...am I correct or incorrect on this?

IIRC csv. files by there nature are text files that are in Comma Separated Values format. I don't know of any specific field types in .csv files. Only when they are imported does that matter and then they are still all text fields. The receiving application is responsible for ensuring the text will translate to whatever field type it want's it to be.
