ladyweb -> WinXP SP2, FP 2003, IIS Problems (4/27/2006 9:36:21)

I have been using FrontPage since the beginning and have never had this many problems with server issue. I searched the Microsoft site, discussion group and followed their instructions as to what to do and still cannot get FP to work locally. They said to uninstall FP, IIS server. Reboot computer. Reinstall IIS server and FP 2000 extensions, reboot, reinstall FP and reboot. They said to make sure FP is working and then to install the FP 2003 extensions.
Well, I can't get it to work. When I try to create a new site locally on localhost I get the following error:
An error occurred accessing your Windows Sharepoint services site files...etc.
I can open, edit, etc. everything if I open directly on the server, but not locally. I need to work locally 99% of the time before publishing to the server.
If I install the FP Server Extensions 2003, then I get other errors.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!!!
