DePacto.com - 5/2/2006 6:40:45
Hi,

I'd appreciate some feedback on the clarity of concept and usability of this site.

www.DePacto.com

The welcome page is in Spanish by default, but you can switch it to English to review it (top right corner).

Is the purpose of the site clear right from the home page?
Is the sign up page easy to fill out?
Although most posts ("view recent posts" or "browse") are in Spanish, are they easy to view and navigate?

As you will see, the design has been kept as simple as possible. The purpose of the site is that users find it easy to find what they are looking for as well as post their trips and requests.

Thanks!
Tailslide

It's clean and simple looking which is very good.

I'd personally put the first paragraph (if not all the content) from the About DePacto page on the front page as there's not a lot of content there and it's not completely obvious what's going on.

Also the text on the front page is in pale grey whereas the text on the rest of the site is in black - I'd pick one and stick to it. If you're going for grey I'd make it slightly darker to make it easier to read (about #555).

Just looking again, I think maybe that the How it works page should be in the top navigation.

You need to check your English spellings as you've spelt courier incorrectly a few times.

Nice though - simple and clean design which is what I prefer.

I love infomation/function sites that are this clear, easy to navigate and stick to the point

Excellent job!

Lots of nested tables, but they work. Colours work well. Nice and bright.

Thanks for the suggestions Tailslide! I'll lwork on some of those.

bobbydazzla: Actually, once you sign up you get the chance to exchange messages with other users and agree on all terms relating to the trip or parcel to be transported, before you close a deal. And, of course, a personal meeting must follow, where you should inspect whatever you are carrying if you are a traveller and reject it if you're suspicious. Besides when you close the deal you get the other users' pesonal info, in case legal liability issues need to be addressed. The site also stores all communication between users for legal purposes.
