Web Page Screen Shots - 5/3/2006 12:30:42
A number of sites show live screenshots of other web pages. Could people list here any scripts, software, and services that allow a web developer to do this on their own site?
I looked everywhere, but had no idea what good search terms would be. It's not a "screen capture" per se, and anything to do with web sites or web pages or software in any combination is too expansive to even think about searching.
{BTW, I am not posting this here as a "question" or tech support request, but as a means to share this valuable capability in the correct forum.}

The former is PC software; the latter is a web service. Both useful, no doubt.
But I myself am looking for a script you can use (without attribution) right on your own website, processed on your own server.

I'm guessing it's a "webshot" because I used another site that processed a pic of my own page on the spot using the Alexa server. It was some site I found on another thread here, but I can't find it at the moment.

Dude! I'm really sorry. I didn't mean it that way. I know you meant well.
<rant> It just gets tiresome sometimes how so many people assume I'm a fan because I'm from the area. It's even worse in baseball -- many people in this part of New York HATE the Yankees, but that's practically all the stores carry is NY merchandise because even the regional managers of chain stores don't get it.
And on the local end, people bombarb me with Buffalo Bills conversation, when I don't have a clue (nor care) who any of the players are. If the Bills left town, instead of tax-bribing the stadium, maybe they'd invest more public money in our world-class philharmonic, or the Olmstead-designed zoo, or something other than an excuse for public drunkenness.
Besides, we have a lot of championship-winning teams in other sports hardly anyone knows about or supports, like lacrosse and minor league baseball</rant>
