Eye pattern survey - 5/10/2006 22:39:06
Hi,

I debated which sub forum to put this in and ended here.

This site does user eye tracking to detrermine page hot spots and where the eyes go from there.

I gave the below mentioned site a good read through and was really suprised. I agree wiith a lot of things they state, other things I said "ok" I never would have thought that.

This got me the most...

"The Eyetrack III researchers discovered something important when testing headline and type size on homepages: Smaller type encourages focused viewing behavior (that is, reading the words), while larger type promotes lighter scanning. "

Anway wanted to share...

As always take care,

Brian

Very interesting stuff, thanks.

I can't wait for the days they bring out the eyeball/head tracking sensor type stuff they use in the Apache and other military hardware, so instead of needing a mouse or even a keyboard it's all sensed and then inputted directly to the screen/actions. Then again I am just a lazy sod. :)

Narrator:
"Reflect: Web Designer.
A man barely alive."

Oscar Goldman: "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic Webmaster. Reflect will be that man. Better than he was before. Better... stronger... faster."

My wife would love that, but hey I have to keep this clean :). Well maybe not faster but slower :).

Take care,
