Server 2000 Intranet Config - 5/11/2006 5:54:07
I inherited an Intranet web server at work, yesterday the hard drive crashed and I am not responsible for getting it back up. No backups had ever been done, but I was able to use the freezer trick and get into the drive long enough to copy the inetpub folder. I have loaded Server 2000, though I've never done it before so I'm not sure I did it right, and FP 2000 + extensions. I partitioned the drive so the web folder is on my D drive, I copied the web files back over and can view them all fine in FP. When I go to publish the site I getRegistry error about not being able to access the Port 80 key. Microsoft site said to delete the key and reload the extensions, I have done that 3 times and checked to make sure the permissions are right on the key. Please help me I'm so lost. I don't know if this matters but the server is not allowed on the domain so it is in a workgroup, which is where is was before. I'm a newbie to the fullest extent so if you would please "dumb" your responces down a little I would appreciate it.
