stupid question - 5/15/2006 13:58:47
Ok I am trying to teach myself CSS using tutorials on the web and reading forums (I have yet to buy a book, although I think I'm going to get The Zen of CSS design). Anyway, I see people making comments about "liquid designs". I can only infer that it means that it resizes when the window resizes. Am I way off base or just thinking that there is more to it? It is almost embarrassing to have to ask but I cannot find the answer. Thank you in advance, The Curious One

No - you're spot on. Liquid designs have percentages for layout sizing and so expand and contract with the browser window. Elastic designs expand and contract with font-sizing. Jello designs make a big mess on the keyboard!
