question on server move

Hi, How do I publish my site to the public.html folder on my new host? I was able to publish all files to the new host but only the index.html file was in the public.html folder. All other files were published outside the public.html folder. For publishing I used the IP address as nameservers have not been changed yet. Please advise. Thank you
