zillah -> "Microsoft Windows Network" icon missing (5/18/2006 12:47:49)

Recently I missed "Microsoft Windows Network" icon which resides within "Entire Network" icon on Win2003.

How can I recover it ?

Hi and Welcome to OutFront.

First place I'd check is to confirm you have the Client for Microsoft Networks installed in your network card properties. It is not required for things like web browsers and such to work so is sometimes removed.

Yes, I could not find that, since I have got two NICs (wired and wireless) I cound not find it for both cards,,,,I think it has been removed in such way , because recently I expierenced this problem.

How can I reinstall it again ?

You'd do it in the same window by clicking Install... then click Client then select the apporopriate client.

Have your Windows and NIC driver disks handy.
