My site is not converting. Why? - 5/21/2006 23:02:56
I am a newbie. I have developed what I call an affiliate site promoting many ebooks and other products. I tried to base my model on a site I discovered that does very well...www.sage-hearts.com

My site...www.kooldownloads.com is getting about 125 visitors per day. My Alexa ranking is 2,010,125 after going live 5 months ago. I have only had 4-5 sales since going live.

I don't know if the problem is with my meta tags or with my content. Please help.

Well if you want advice on site ranking I suggest you go and ask in the SEO forum. I'm not an expert on this by any means but just a quick look confirms that the area you're trying to rank in is an area where many many people try to do the same.

Your keywords are full of ebook but ebook is rarely mentioned on the page. Try typing in to google etc. what you think people will search on and then take a look behind the sites that come up on the first page (View>Page source)

Now take a look at the source behind your page. This may have changed but Google used to base its ranks on the first 500 words on your page. Remember Google sees the code not the pretty stuff rendered by the browsers. In your case, Google will read 500 words of Javascript.

Put some text on the page. This site comes back No. 1 in google (unpaid sites) on a search for ebook. Take a look at their page, how many times are the words book/ebook mentioned? They've done it as part of coherent content, not spamming by sticking the words on the page out of context.

I would also like feedback from anyone who has had a great deal of success with the Adsense program. I have heard so many different viewpoints on this matter.
If you would kindly look at my site and let me know what I can do to improve the CTR of my Adsense banners. The site is less than 6 months old however I thought that by now i would have seen more traffic and a higher CTR.
I had designed this site to generate income primarily with the Adsense program. I plan on updating the content on a monthly basis. What can I do to fully maximize my site. I would like to generate at least $10000 per month from Adsense.

Errrr yes me too. In fact, I would be quite happy with $10,000 per year.

The thing is, you can stick as much adsense on there as you like but unless people find your site in the first few search pages then nobody's going to click on anything. Forget the adsense until the page is ranking high.

Like I said, go post this in the SEO part of this site. Mojo is the mod with most experience on SEO and can give you some pointers.
