AmWells -> Problem with FP after a system tune up etc. (5/23/2006 16:27:45)

Had my computer tuned up and added RAM last week. Got home & my FP wouldn't come in. What happens is that I bring up the website I want to work on then click on FP. FP comes up with the index page of the website without the login & password window. So I can't work it. The tab on this page in FP shows "the domain name[1].htm". I have done everything I can think of to correct it including removing FP and re-installing it.

I took it back to the place where I had the work done on it and they couldn't get it to come up either so I left my computer for another guy who was coming in later to look at it. He said he got it up and didn't have to do a thing, (but all my settings were changed...so he had to have done something) as soon as I got home it still didn't work.

Now I am without FP and it's my only lively-hood. No matter what I do I can't get it to work.

Can anyone help me please? I'd really appreciate what ever you can do!

AmWells

Can you just explain how you open a web site in Frontpage for editing and what occurs?

Can you just explain how you open a web site in Frontpage for editing and what occurs?

I open the page I want to use Front Page for. Then I click on an icon for Front Page on my toolbar. This brings me to a window in Front Page where I have to put in my login name and password. Once that is done, Front Page opens to the page of the website I want to work on. I can bring up any other page on the website and do my work.

Now what happens is that the web site page comes up, fills the whole screen and there is no window for the login.

There is a tag for this page and it gives the domain name plus a bracket [ ] I've taken FP off, and put it back on and it still does the same thing.

Boy, if you could help me I'd really appreciate it!
Many thanks,
Angela
