Anybody have a really difficult time setting up their Earthlink account in Outlook and a wireless notebook? Have a friend that just bought a new notebook and having a heck of a time getting outgoing email to work.
I proxied in and tried to help and no go. Keep getting message about outgoing smtp not working, and yet have setup exactly the way Earthlink says on their web.
Talked to tech support and they said something about special setup for wireless so people can't get grab account and use your connection to send mail and have to configure for each wireless network you use. This seems completely crazy since most people with notebooks want to check email where ever they find a wifi account.
Anybody have earthlink and want to pm me the incoming and outgoing setup they use to actually get email to work?
